ETIKK I PRAKSIS Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics
Etikk i praksis - Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics is a new scholarly journal of applied ethics and related political theory. The journal uses a system of refereeing and welcomes contributions from all disciplines. We wish to create a broad-based and unique journal for Nordic research within ethics. The contributions may focus on ethical, political or social aspects of scientific and technological developments within different fields, research ethics, and normative power, democracy and culture analyses. The journal will provide a meeting place for applied ethics, be it within biotechnology, research, primary and secondary education, childhood, the Internet, culture, nature, business life, sports, the media, medicine, politics or elsewhere. Etikk i praksis – Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics will be published semi-annually, in mid May and November. The deadline for submitting articles is 1st February for the spring issue, and 1st July for the autumn issue. The first issue of Etikk i praksis – Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics will be published in the autumn of 2007. Subsequent issues will be organised according to specific themes, with an ”open” section for submitted contributions. We are planning issues based on the themes of biotechnology and a selection-based society (spring 2008); nanotechnology and ELSA studies (autumn 2008); and religion and ethics (spring 2009). The journal welcomes contributions in the Nordic languages as well as in English. Etikk i praksis – Nordic Journal of Applied Ethics is published by Tapir akademisk forlag in Trondheim.
